Hello from the grey gardeners!

Hello and welcome to our little gardening blog. In these strange times we are all having to spend more time at home, and our gardens are becoming more and more important places. Whether you’ve always hated gardening or never had the time to really do it properly, Adam and I hope to share a bit of our own gardening knowledge and experience in the coming months to help you make the most of your garden. You never know you might find something of interest. Although age is catching up on us and we’re fast becoming the grey gardeners, we don’t want this to just be a resource for old gits like us, we’d love all ages to get hooked on gardening and love it as much as we do.

Just a little bit about ourselves. We have been involved in gardening all our lives and run a successful garden maintenance and garden design business based in Swaffham in Norfolk. Adam’s background is in the garden centre trade and growing ornamental plants whilst my (Jon) background is agricultural consultancy and plant health. We call ourselves gardening nerds and have a particular passion for wildflowers, cottage garden favourites and exotic plants and flowers. We have won four gold medals at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show (2017, 2008, 2007, 2006 Small Gardens) together with three BBC People’s Choice Awards and have many years of practical gardening experience. Between us we should hopefully be able to answer most of your gardening queries and hope to bring you some interesting and informative garden related stuff over the coming months.

Well thats a quick introduction, thanks for your time. Cheers!
